Publication fees & waivers

The publication of papers submitted to Journal of Applied Pharmacology and Toxicology (JOAPT) incurs an article processing fee (APC) of Rs. 1500 (INR) for Indian Authors & $50 (US Dollar) for Foreign Authors. Authors from SAARC countries can pay in Indian Currency. The APC is to be deposited only after the submitted paper is accepted for publication. There is no fee for submission of manuscript, similarly Readers too do not need to pay any fee. JOAPT is an open access, peer reviewed journal. 

Authors from India can pay APC online by scanning following QR code. Authors from other countries can pay through Paypal, link for which shall be communicated to them.

Waiver of Article Processing Charge

Journal of Applied Pharmacology and Toxicology (JOAPT) do not want fees to prevent the publication of worthy work. JOAPT also maintains a fund to waive the fee for authors in developing parts of the world whose university or institute is unable to pay, or who have not received sufficient financial support from funding agencies.

We offer a complete or partial/full fee waiver on a case-by-case basis for individual authors or author groups from countries in the developing world, but only if the request for a waiver has been sent to joapt.editor@gmail.com after submission of the manuscript.

The corresponding author must send the following information in the letter of request, together with any supporting documents:

  • Manuscript title
  • Names and titles of all authors
  • Institutional affiliations of all authors
  • Type of waiver requested: Partial (indicate the amount you can pay in INR/USD) or Full
  • Reason for waiver application
